Nike SB May Releases
May 2011 is shaping up to be a HUGE month for Nike SB releases. With the April quickstrike pushed back into May and a huge list of May releases, this may be this years biggest month. Check out all of the May releases below and stay tuned for a post about the quick strike schedule for the rest of the summer.

First up this month is this Nike Dunk High Premium SB in Deep Burgundy/Aquamarine. This shoe is part of the Core release pack, which means this one is only available in skate shops, not online stores like CCS. The leather on this one has a really cool cracked effect, and the suede swoosh has a nice worn in look. This is my favorite of them all.

The second Dunk High this month is this all suede Deep Royal/Noble Green high top. This is your skaters choice for the high tops this month. All suede, not too flashy, and a nice color scheme.

The standout for the general releases this month is this Dunk Low Pro in Black/Varsity Purple/Baltic Blue. The Hornets colorway is sure to be a hit, especially with all the latest "snapback" craze and retro Hornets gear popping up all over the place. Another all suede release has the skaters happy too.

Somehow still in the SB line-up, the Prod 2.5 comes out in this Pecan/White/Dark Chocolate colorway, very reminiscent of the old California Dunk. I feel like they're doing everything they can to save this shoe and its just not working. Sorry guys!

One of my favorite non-dunk Nikes is this Blazer Mid CS. This colorway, Union Grey/Varsity Red, is cool because the inside swoosh on the shoe is actually blue. A cool concept that I havent seen before and a great colorway too.

The next shoe in the line-up is the Blazer Low CS in Terra Cotta/Tropical Teal. I'm surprised the Blazer Low CS is still in the line, seems like most people want a vulcanized shoe these days, but I guess its good to have options. The original photos/samples had this shoe resembling a Vanilla Ice Blazer, but they now look to be a more copper color than red.

This months Janoski is sure to be a hit (when is it not?). In white/white, which is actually a bone/gum, this shoe looks great, especially for summer. All suede is sure to have some skaters stoked too.

Rounding out the list is the newly released Janoski Mid in a Cappuccino/Black. I'm still a bit skeptical about this style, the low is so popular and it seems that mids are falling off. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Overall this is a GREAT line-up for Nike SB. This line-up has a little something for everyone, and features a lot of mellow colorways and suede materials, which is what skaters have been asking for. Stay tuned for the quick strike release schedule for this summer.
