Podium (DVS, Matix, Diamond) Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

It was confirmed over the weekend that Podium, the umbrella company over DVS Footwear, Matix Clothing and Diamond Supply Co has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy late last week. It is unclear where the companies will go from here but hopefully the brands will survive through a 363 auction process. DVS has been one of the longest running skate shoe brands in the industry and it would be a shame to see them go under. In recent years they have struggled to keep a core skate loyalty, losing many skaters to bigger brands like Nike and Vans. Hopefully they will not see the same fate that eS saw when they decided to close down at the end of 2011.
